It's coming up on July 4th, the celebration of the birth of our country. It seems like a good idea to have a really cool very intimate wine dinner. The wines: a mini Vertical of Domaine Romanee Conti Richebourg 2006 and 2007. I figured that most of us never get to try this stuff so why not have a great dinner to showcase the best of Burgundy. Obviously this will have to be limited to six people. Chef Marc Eigenmann will prepare a classic French dinner and we'll pair wines with every course. I anticipate serving Huet Vouvray Moelleux with a foie gras course and other Burgundies as well as a Sauterne with dessert. I will hold the dinner at my apartment on Central Park South and it will be limited to six people. The cost $900.00 per person and that includes all wine and food. The date will be determined by response and as I said it's limited to six people.
Reply to the email or call Michael at the store if you're interested. It will be a great fun lowkey high quality event.
On the political note we have again defeated Wine in Grocery stores. My State Senator here Liz Krueger was of no help. In fact she supported the ill conceived bill. She represents a district full of small businesses yet is only responsible to her own political needs. She does not represent your interests only her own. I know it's very hard to oust incumbents but she deserves to be ousted. I will be hosting a cocktail party this summer for her opponent in the upcoming election. Think about how your representatives have botched up this state government and attend this mixer. I'll send out another email with the date soon. The status quo cannot be maintained its time to look at a new approach.
On that ranting note...enjoy your holiday and splurge on this very special dinner. |
